Flashpoint Archive is a dedicated project focused on preserving games and animations found on the web. Since its inception in December 2017, it has successfully archived over 200,000 games and animations across more than a hundred browser plugins and web technologies. This non-profit initiative, originally founded by BlueMaxima, offers a fully-featured launcher, a proxy to run games as if they were online, and a sandbox for secure playback of plugin-enabled content - all of which are open-source. The project emphasizes the importance of internet history and culture, ensuring that valuable digital experiences are not lost as technology evolves.
