Mozi

IoT botnet targeting vulnerabilities in devices.

Mozi is an evolving peer-to-peer (P2P) IoT botnet that targets devices such as routers. It can execute arbitrary commands targeting legacy devices with vulnerabilities, allowing attackers to gain control over the devices for purposes such as creating botnets or launching attacks. The Mozi malware has been seen leveraging command injection to exploit systems and is particularly dangerous as it can operate under the radar of standard security measures.

Use case

This application is primarily concerned with exploiting vulnerabilities in IoT devices to create a botnet. It's aimed at cybersecurity professionals for analysis and prevention.
